Cancellation of Bornholmrundt 2003

SUBJECT: Bornholm Rundt på Skulleskøjter 2003

It is with great regret that we have been forced to cancel and completely stop the roller skating race Bornholm Rundt on Roller Skates.

For a quarter of a year now, we have been trying to get someone else to take care of and take over the work of planning and arranging the race. Many volunteers, old as well as new, have indicated that they would like to be helpful on the day of the race itself, but unfortunately the great preparation for the race has not been possible to find volunteers for. And believe us, we have really made a diligent effort.

It is, like so much other voluntary work, difficult to find a profit to spend several hundred hours, unpaid as such is, and in the three or four summer weeks up to the race day where one's free time was largely not used for much more than planning the race, well then we have chosen to stop now.

We are now starting to report back to those who have already signed up, just as we of course return the money to those who have already paid the participation fee.

As mentioned, we are sad to have to take this drastic step, but unfortunately we have not had other options.

We would like to thank you for the support you have shown us over the years.
