Anchorage Great Skate(CLOSED)
Also known as Anchorage Roller Rink Opened in 1963 by Albert Waddell and his son in law Tim Hughes at 2809 Arctic Boulevard, in Anchorage.s When Waddell retired in the mid 1970's he sold the Anchorage Roller Rink to his daughter Carolyn and her husband Ed Caldwell. The Caldwell's opened a second rink, Dimond Skateland. When they closed the Anchorage Roller Rink in the mid-1980's they kept Dimond Skateland opened.

Dimond Skateland
Anchorage roller skating rink founded by Ed and Carolyn Caldwell. In the 1970's and 1980's they also owned the now closed Anchorage Roller Rink. Both Ed and Carolyn taught dance, speed, and hockey skating for more then 30 years. Public sessions Friday through Sunday. Wednesday is budget night. There is a giant skate outside the Dimond Skateland rink that was originally on the roof of the Anchorage Roller Rink. Diamond Skateland is Located at 8100 Homer Drive in Anchorage, Alaska.

Royal Roller Rink (CLOSED)
Opened in 1971 by Albert Waddell and his son in law, Tim Hughes. When Waddall retired in the mid 1970's he sold the Royal Roller Rink to his daughter Janice, who was married to Tim. Public sessions Friday through Monday. Christian music night on Thursdays. The Royal Roller Rink was formerly located at 6411 Debar Road in East Anchorage, Alaska.
