Anchorage Roller Rink (CLOSED)
Also known as Anchorage Great Skate. Opened in 1963 by Albert Waddell and his son in law Tim Hughes. When Waddell retired in the mid 1970's he sold the Anchorage Roller Rink to his daughter Carolyn and her husband Ed Caldwell. The Caldwell's opened a second rink, Dimond Skateland. When they closed the Anchorage Roller Rink in the mid-1980's they kept Dimond Skateland opened.

Royal Roller Rink (CLOSED)
Opened in 1971 by Albert Waddell and his son in law, Tim Hughes. When Waddall retired in the mid 1970's he sold the Royal Roller Rink to his daughter Janice, who was married to Tim. Public sessions Friday through Monday. Christian music night on Thursdays. The Royal Roller Rink was formerly located at 6411 Debar Road in East Anchorage, Alaska.
