Ron Perry leased the rink and operated it 1976 through 1986 as Perry's Roller Rink Bill Franze took over the rink in 1986 and he operated it until his death in 2020. Bill's son Chris Franz started a GoFundMe account to raise money toward keeping the rink open.

It is with much sadness that we announce that SkateWorld is permanently shutting its door. This family business was started over 40 years ago with our matriarch, Gerry Miller, and her son, our much loved Ward Miller. We consistently strived to provide a fun atmosphere and a safe environment for families to gather, celebrate birthdays and spend quality times together. Your family became part of our family and it is difficult to say goodbye. To all of our loyal customers... thank you for your patronage and support through the years.
