Hockeyplex Ice Arena (CLOSED)
Also known as the Louisiana Hockeyplex and the LA Ice Arena. Formerly located at 3607 Northeast Evangeline Throughway in the city of Carencro, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana

The $3.75 million project got underway Dececember 23, 2014 after the city paid for the 3.1-acre property and structure that housed the shuttered Louisiana Ice Arena on Interstate 49. The existing 32,000-square-foot building and its 17,000-square-foot ice rink will be refitted with turf for indoor football and soccer. A new, 12,000-square-foot gymnasium with basketball and volleyball courts will be added to the rear of the property.

The first ice skating rink in Louisiana was situated inside a mall that was once the largest shopping center in Louisiana. The cloverleaf design of the mall was centered the rink. The Lake Forest Plaza Mall first opened in 1974, its ice rink was removed as part of a major renovation in the late 1980s, the mall was flooded by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and what remained of the building was demolished in 2007.

Chateau Village Ice Rink (CLOSED)
Ice skating rink inside the Chateau Village Shopping Center in Kenner Louisiana. The shopping center and the ice rink first opened in 1978. The mall and ice rink were located 1000 West Esplanade Avenue in the city Kenner in the Jefferson Parish of Louisiana.
